OUR SERVICE TECHNIQUES

RT-Radiography is a method of examination that uses gamma or x-rays to create an image of the interior condition of the test piece. The image is stored on film or other medium that is called a shadowgraph and through density changes in the image the internal condition of the test piece can be interpreted

MPI- This method of inspection is used to find discontinuities that are surface, or near surface, in ferromagnetic material. Breaks and other defects are revealed by creating a magnetic field over the surface of the test piece and applying a suspension of ferromagnetic particles that collect on discontinuities.

LPI- Using a liquid medium to enter the defects this method enables detection of cracks or other discontinuities which are open to the surface of nonporous ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic materials, welds, castings and forgings

HT - This method evaluates the properties of metals and tests resistance to indentation and localized deformation in order to determine the suitability of a material for a given application or treatment.

UT- High frequency sound energy is used to conduct examinations and make measurements in this ultrasonic testing method. Ultrasonic inspection is applied in flaw detection/evaluation, dimensional measurements, material characterization, etc. This is an approved method for testing of weldments, pipes, complex castings and forgings, tanks, pressure vessels and others.

Environmental & Safety Testing - on-site inspection of heating oil fuel tanks to deliver a corrosion survey report to support home-owners' efforts to comply with BC Fire Code and their need to obtain or renew insurance coverage.
